hydrangeas and hash brown casserole...

Calm is rarely a word used to describe Alabama weather. However, today was calm. It was the perfect day to clip hydrangeas, bring them inside, and soak up being southern. (There is nothing more southern than putting out hydrangeas from the back yard.) So, clip I did. In keeping with the theme, Hash brown casserole was the logical choice for dinner. Here is the super easy recipe I found in one of my Grandmother's old books. Enjoy!

ingredients:

2 lbs frozen (southern style) hash browns
1/2 cup butter
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups cheddar cheese
1/2 onion, finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste

recipe:

1) Heat oven to 350
2) Melt butter
3) Add melted butter, chopped onion, soup, salt, pepper to a large bowl. Mix well.
4) Add cheese and mix well
5) Add hash browns and mix well
6) Pour into casserole dish and cook for 35 minutes or until bubbly

Here are some additional photos to help!
